Download Windows 10 ISO using Media Creation Tool

You need to download the Windows 10 ISO file to create a bootable USB for installing Windows 10 on your PC. You can download Windows 10 directly from Microsoft’s website for free. But it’s not easy to find the direct download link. Instead, you can use the Media Creation Tool for the same purpose.

Download Windows 10 ISO File Using Media Creation Tool

Step 1: Download the Media Creation Tool

First of all, you have to download the Media Creation Tool. You can download it from the Windows 10 download page by clicking this link.

On the Windows 10 download page, scroll down and click on the Download Tool Now button. Media Creation Tool will be downloaded to your PC.

Step 2: Accept License Terms

Now double-click on the downloaded file. Click on Yes if you see the UAC prompt. You will see “Applicable notices and license terms”, click on the Accept button to continue.

Step 3: Select Media Type

Setup will start and you will see two options. The first option is to upgrade your PC. So, select the second option to Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC and click the Next button.

Step 4: Select Language, Architecture

Now you select the Language, Edition (select the version to download Windows 10 ISO), and Architecture (32-bit, 64-bit, or both) from drop-down lists. Click Next to continue.

Step 5: Select Media Type

You will now have options to select the media you want to create. You can select the USB flash drive if you want to make a bootable USB drive or select the ISO file for downloading the ISO file. Select the ISO file option and click Next.

Step 6: Select Destination For ISO File

Now, select the path to save the downloaded Windows 10 ISO file. You can change the name of the Windows 10 ISO file if you wish. Click on Save to start the download process.

Step 7: Download the Windows 10 ISO File

After clicking on the Save button, the ISO download will start. Wait for the download to complete.

After the download has been completed, click on Finish. Now, you can use this ISO file to burn DVD or you can create a bootable USB drive to clean install Windows on your PC.
