How to Disable Automatic App Updates in the Microsoft Store
Windows 10 and 11 have automatic updates enabled by default. Same way, Windows 10 and 11 download and install updates for Microsoft Store apps also. But if you are on a metered connection, you would not want automatic App updates in the Microsoft Store. Step 1: Open Microsoft Store from Start in Windows 11
First of all, open the Microsoft Store app. You can search for “store” on Start and click on Microsoft Store from search results.
This will open the Microsoft Store app on your PC. You will see various games and apps available for download. In Microsoft Store App settings, we will get the option to disable automatic app updates.

Step 2: Open Microsoft Store Settings in Windows 11
On the top bar, near the search box, you will see an account avatar icon. Click on this icon and select App Settings from the menu.
In Settings, you will see various options. You can see Update apps automatically is turned On by default. This is why Windows 11 is updating Microsoft Store apps automatically. We will change these settings to disable automatic Microsoft Store app updates in Windows 11.

Now, click on the 3-horizontal dots menu at the top-right corner and select Settings to open Microsoft Store settings in Windows 10.
Here, you can see various settings. You can also see that Automatic Updates for Microsoft Store Apps is enabled by default in Windows 10 just like Windows 11.

Step 3: Stop Automatic App Updates in the Microsoft Store on Windows 10
Now, turn Off the toggle for Update apps automatically to disable or stop automatic app updates in the Microsoft Store on your Windows 10 PC.
