Install and Use WhatsApp on PC via BlueStacks
Make sure that you have already installed the BlueStacks Android emulator on your PC. You can download it from the official website. So, let’s check the steps.
Step 1: Install BlueStacks on Your PC
After launching the installer, click on YES when UAC Prompt asks for your permissions. The installation wizard will show up, click on Install Now to continue the installation.
It will download the latest version of BlueStacks and install it on your PC. After installation is complete, click on the Complete button to launch BlueStacks. We will use BlueStacks to install WhatsApp on PC.
Launching BlueStacks for the first time might take some time.
Step 2: Sign in with a Google Account
After launching BlueStacks for the first time, you will have to set up your Google Account to use Google Play Store services. This process is the same as on your Android phone. On the welcome screen, select the language and click on the LET’S GO button.
Next, sign in with your Google account.
After successful sign-in, agree to terms and conditions.
Step 3: Install WhatsApp from the Play Store on BlueStacks
After successful sign-in, you will be taken to the BlueStacks’ home page. Here click on the Play Store icon to open the Play Store.
In the Play Store, search for “whatsapp” and click on INSTALL to install WhatsApp on your PC using BlueStacks.
After installation, click on the OPEN button to launch WhatsApp.
Step 4: Start WhatsApp and Enter your Phone Number
Now WhatsApp setup will start, click on AGREE AND CONTINUE.
Select your country code and enter your mobile number. Click NEXT to get OTP.
Enter the OTP you receive on your phone.
Step 5: Configure WhatsApp on your PC via BlueStacks
WhatsApp will ask you to allow permissions for Contacts and Media just like on your Android phone. Click on CONTINUE.
Next, you will see a popup for allowing Contacts and Media permissions. Click on ALLOW on both pop-ups.
Next, you will see an option to restore your WhatsApp backup from your Google account if you have already created one. You can choose to RESTORE or SKIP.
Step 6: Use WhatsApp on PC via BlueStacks
Next, you will set up your WhatsApp profile. Select a photo for your profile and enter your Name. Finally, click OK.
You have successfully set up your WhatsApp on BlueStacks on your Windows PC. All your contacts (which are stored in your Google account) will show up in WhatsApp. You can now chat with your friends and family members just like you do on your phone.
